The Store Manager will be responsible for leading a store team (known as “Dynamos”) to achieve key business objectives. This includes driving sales performance, controlling operational costs, reducing stock losses, and maintaining high store standards.

As a Store Manager at PEP Golden Highway, your daily responsibilities will include the following:
1. Driving Sales Performance

2. Stock Management & Loss Prevention
- Ensure accurate stock handling and inventory control
- Minimise stock losses through strict adherence to security procedures
- Monitor cash handling processes to reduce risk and errors

3. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Manage store operations according to PEP’s low-cost business model
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure efficient use of resources within the store environment
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of retail staff (Dynamos)
- Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Build a positive, high-performance team culture
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and accountability
5. Administrative Excellence
- Ensure all store administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support reporting and operational documentation requirements
6. Health, Safety & Store Standards
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the store
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment
🎓 Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Store Manager position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, or related field is an advantage)
- 1–2 years of experience in a retail environment in a leadership or supervisory role
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office or Google GSuite advantageous)
