Purpose of the Learnership
The programme is designed to provide participants with:
- On-the-job firefighting training
- Structured learning and assessments
- Workplace readiness activities
- Emergency response and fire prevention skills
- Personal and professional development opportunities
Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in one of South Africa’s leading energy and chemical companies while developing skills required in the firefighting profession.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12/National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- A pass in:
- Technical Mathematics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy
- English or Business English
- Technical Science or Physical Science
- A valid Code B driver’s licence or higher
- Be between 18 and 29 years old
- Be able to pass:
- Stress and fear assessments
- Height assessments
- Confined space assessments
- Fire exposure assessments
- Cat ladder assessments
- Firefighter fitness assessments
- Reside within the local communities of Secunda or Sasolburg.
