About the Programme
The Santam Learnership Programme is a youth development initiative aimed at unemployed South African youth who want to gain skills, workplace experience, and a formal qualification in the financial services and insurance sector.
This programme is designed to build a pipeline of skilled professionals for the short-term insurance industry while offering participants real work experience and structured training.
Learners will complete:
- Accredited NQF Level 4 qualification
- FSCA Regulatory Exams (RE5)
- Industry-related workplace training
Successful completion may allow learners to register as members of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) at MIISA level.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 β 28 years old
- Be unemployed
- Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Achieve:
- Minimum 50% in English
- Minimum 40% in Mathematics OR 60% in Mathematical Literacy
- Have no more than 1 year work experience
- Not currently studying at any institution during the learnership
- Not have previously completed an INSETA Short-Term Insurance Learnership
